How to play Flash (Teen Patti / Flush)
फ्लास
Flash (फ्लास), also called Teen Patti or Flush, is the three-card game that comes out at Tihar gatherings. Everyone gets three cards face down and bets on whose hand is best. You can play blind, without looking, or look and play seen.
On Khelau, Flash is played with play coins only: there is nothing to buy and the coins have no cash value. Practise against bots, join an online table, or open a private room for up to 17 friends.
No download, no sign-up. Works on phones, tablets and computers.

A deal
- Everyone puts in the boot (the minimum bet) and gets three cards face down.
- On your turn, stay blind or look at your cards. Once you have looked you are seen, and you can’t go back to blind.
- Bet (chaal) or pack (fold). A blind player bets 1 to 2 times the stake; a seen player bets 2 to 4 times the stake.
- After 4 blind bets you must look at your cards before you bet again.
- The deal ends when one player is left, a Show is called, or the pot reaches its cap.
Side Show and Show
- Side Show: with more than two players left, a seen player can pay twice the stake to compare hands privately with the previous bettor, who must also be seen. The lower hand packs; on a tie, the player who asked packs.
- Show: when only two players are left, either can ask for a Show. It costs the stake if you are blind and twice the stake if you are seen. A seen player can’t ask a blind player for a Show. On a tie, the player who asked loses.
- Pot cap: when the pot reaches its cap, every hand still in is shown and the best takes the pot. Tied hands split it.
Hand rankings
From strongest to weakest:
| Hand | What it is | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Trail | Three cards of the same rank (A A A is best) | K K K |
| Pure sequence | Three in a row, one suit | 4♠ 5♠ 6♠ |
| Sequence | Three in a row, mixed suits | 4♠ 5♥ 6♦ |
| Colour | Three cards of one suit | 2♦ 9♦ J♦ |
| Pair | Two cards of the same rank | 8 8 K |
| High card | None of the above | A 10 4 |
- Runs: A-2-3 is the best, then A-K-Q, K-Q-J and so on down to 4-3-2. K-A-2 is not a run.
